On Thursday the 12th of February 2026 Bro. Ronnie King RWM of Lodge Loudoun Darvel No.971 presented on behalf of the Brethren a cheque for the magnificent sum of £500 to Bro. William Grant SPGM to go to the Teddies for Loving Care initiative.
The Teddies for Loving Care has went from strength to strength since 2023 when the PGLA and Bro. William Grant SPGM took on the initiative and the PGLA has now donated a total of 4165, consisting of 1646 to Ayr Hospital Paediatric A&E, 1592 to Crosshouse Paediatric A&E, 639 to Crosshouse Paediatric Assessment Centre and 288 Ayrshire Paediatric Dental services.

Caroline Dickson, Clinical Nurse Manager for Ayr Emergency Department added: “These teddies will mostly be used by our Emergency Nurse Practitioners who see the majority of children when they present with an injury.
"A teddy will go a long way in putting anxious and upset children at ease and will also help the Emergency Nurse Practitioners when they are reviewing the children.
“On behalf of NHS Ayrshire and Arran, I’d like to thank the Freemasons for their kind donation.”
