Charity Walk by Bro. Steven Borland SD Lodge St. James Tarbolton(Kilwinning) No.135 : £1175 so far raised for The National Burns Memorial Homes Mauchline.

On 25th of August Bro. Steven Borland and his Partner Phoebe Redman on behalf of the Ayrshire Young Masons embarked on a 6 day adventure to walk the West Highland Way to raise funds for the National Burns Memorial Homes in Mauchline.

Due to illness there had been a couple of call offs from the original group from the Ayrshire Young Masons that had planned to walk the WHW but Steven was determined that the walk would go ahead as the Memorial Homes are currently getting renovated and are in need of additional funding. Up stepped Steven's partner Phoebe and took the challenge to walk the WHW with Steven.

The weather was very kind to them and they made great progress along the route

On Saturday 30th they crossed the finish line in Fort William where they were met by family and friends to congratulate them on their magnificent achievement.

Many thanks to the members of The Lodge of Fort William No.43 who took time to meet Steven and Phoebe in Fort William.
