On Thursday 20 August 2026 AYM Chairman Bro. Jason Cairns WJW No.1060, Bro. Douglas Rathey PM No.1359 and Bro. Andrew Wilson JD No.1060, had the pleasure of meeting with Laura, a trustee and member of Headlines Craniofacial Support.
Headlines Craniofacial Support are the leading UK charity supporting people with craniosynostosis and other rare craniofacial conditions.
Craniosynostosis is a rare craniofacial condition where two or more plates of the skull prematurely fuse to each other, usually before birth. This results in the baby’s skull not growing properly and the new-born's head shape being different at birth. The shape of the head may continue to change after birth as it grows.
After learning about the charity and having some experiences within close family, the brethren were inspired to raise funds for this very worth while charity and now have the pleasure of presenting Laura with a cheque from the charity for £2504.25 raised from Lodge Saint Conval No.1359 and Ayrshire Young Masons 30km joint sponsored walk in May this year.
