Tercentenary Celebration: Lodge St. John Maybole No.11

On Saturday 11th September, Lodge St. John Maybole No.11 celebrated their Tercentenary with a special meeting where Bro. James Sergeant RWM welcomed the Grand Master Mason Bro. William Ramsay McGhee who headed a large Deputation from the Grand Lodge of Scotland to carry out the Ceremony of Rededication.

The gathering was joined by a very large Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire, led by the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master Brother James Bell.

The Ceremony of Rededication was expertly carried out by Bro. Ramsay McGhee MWGMM and office bearers of the Grand Lodge of Scotland in front of a full to capacity Carrick Centre with Grand Chaplain Bro. Revd. Alexander Shuttleworth and Bro. Archie Chalmers representing Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire in their Grand Lodge capacity.

Bro. Robert Green Secretary PM of Lodge St. John Maybole No.11 delivered a very complete but compact history of the Lodge and was warmly thanked by Bro. Ramsay McGhee MWGMM




Bro Ramsay McGhee MWGMM addressed the Lodge and congratulated the Brethren of Lodge St. John No.11 on reaching the historic milestone of 300 years and paid gratitude to them for the wonderful day which they had organised and wished them every success for the future.

Bro James Bell RWPGM addressed the Lodge and also congratulated Lodge St. John Maybole on reaching the historic Tercentenary an amazing achievement for a small Ayrshire village and wished them a very successful future.

A fine harmony dinner proceeded with some wonderful toasts and Bro. James Bell RWPGM emphasised the charity work and giving of the Freemasons of Ayrshire.
